So, recently, Rashmika and Vijay tied the knot in Udaipur Hotel on 26th February, and they have shaken the internet with their traditional wedding celebrations. It has garnered attention from many people for its theme, which is not only traditional but reminds us of the timeless and sacred marriage of Shiva and Parvati. The mandap décor, the entrance, and the jewellery, every detail had that ritualistic flair so meaningful, that we are sure that it is going to be an enduring tale among the celeb weddings. Their Dreamy Wedding Destination: Udaipur 

But the most special thing about their wedding was the place they got married in. Their marriage happened in the most dreamy place, that is, Udaipur. What is more ideal than Udaipur, the royal wedding destination, with the most suitable weather for a wedding? It was the perfect combination of style for a pristine and regal affair. Their wedding was held in two parts, one in Vijay’s Telugu tradition and the other in Rashmika’s Kodava tradition. This only goes on to show that their wedding stands tall as an example of respect and companionship. 

There are not many marriages of Indian celebrities that have moved the hearts of so many people all at once, but this couple has undoubtedly managed to do so. And Udaipur has a big part in it. It has allowed them to have a mandap under the airy sky, with the South Indian theme that looks like a stunner. The banana leaves surrounding the aisle, and all the people having their attention on Rashmika, are what give it that royal and subtle feel. Rashmika had worn the prettiest saree with temple design motifs. The striking orange saree is definitely a fresh addition to the celebrity bridal attire that is full of nude and pastel shade lehengas. But a saree, that too in a dark colour, has all the traditional bride vibes! And we are loving the resurrection of the same. Her outfit was made with intricate zari work that had all the temple designs on it, making it a flawless regal affair. And not to mention the floor-length pallu that has red and gold borders in a geometric pattern. Because of the details, the pleats of the pallu stand out like a charm. A Majestic Groom Moment by Vijay

This is possibly the first time in history that the groom’s look is talked of more than the bride’s look. And wouldn’t it be when Vijay Devarakonda looks absolutely ethereal in the traditional Telugu Angavastram? It is a cloth that is worn by the South Indian grooms wrapped around their shoulders. And with the handsome and manly build of Vijay, it looks so dashing on him. The pairing of it with the Veshti has given him the most complete look that any groom could ever have. He has maintained his heritage by not just wearing the traditional cloth but also adorning red alta on his hands. He has taken us back to the groom's look of the Vedic era. And not to mention both of them wearing the golden threads around their heads, signifying divinity in their looks. Also, do you know Vijay is rumoured to have his groom entry on a white horse? How much more princely could he be? Every single detail of his groom's look screams sophistication and finesse. 

The Excellence of Golden Jewellery

Jewellery is possibly one of the key features of a South Indian wedding, and both Rashmika and Vijay have incorporated this element in their looks so appropriately. It does not scream with bold jewellery, rather takes us away from the show-off to the neat and polished pure gold jewellery of South India. Their ornaments were made by Abhishek Agarwal and Kaushik Kumar from Shree Jewellers. They have claimed in the interview with NDTV that it took them more than eight months to make them. And we are sure that their claim is true because the jewellery ensemble actually looked like refined masterpieces straight out of a movie.

 Rashmika has worn a total of eleven pieces of jewellery, including a choker, waist belt, anklets, bangles, haathphool, bajuband and a nose pin. And we just cannot overlook the champasaralu earrings, matha patti, and a jada billa on her hair. All of these made her look surreal. And when we talk of Vijay’s attire, he had worn giant ear studs, two huge necklaces coming onto his navel, a thoughtful ring on his little finger, a wrist cuff bracelet, and a statement-making pair of ankle kadas. The ankle kadas are a refreshing surprise from the groom, as the modern groom does not adorn them anymore. But since the entire theme of their wedding is around the traditional wedding elements, Vijay has ornamented it gracefully.

The Special Touch of Their Heartfelt Love Letters

Although they had tried to keep their affair unofficial for many years, their die-hard fans obviously knew about it. And they had been waiting for their wedding announcement for a long time. And lo and behold, both of them took to their Instagram and Twitter accounts to announce their wedding with the most mesmerising photos of their sacred ceremony, with the most heart-touching letters to each other. Vijay declared in front of the whole world his love for his bride.

On his Instagram, he wrote, “I made my best friend… my wife.” 

Their wedding is truly wrapped in love, isn’t it? And it gets even better when we see Rashmika’s message. She introduces us to her Mr. Husband proudly and confesses how she has learned the art of love from him. 

She writes, “I am so so so so soooo excited to become your wife! To be your wife! To be called your wife!! It’s a full-time party now!!” 

Their sweet words to each other not only introduced us to their wedding pictures with excitement but also gave them a special quality.
